If you weren’t able to make it to roundtable last Thursday you missed a great session on JTE and how to access your resources for getting your leadership trained. Trained leaders make better leaders and helps them to feel more comfortable in their position and will cause them to hang around longer.
Please try and make all efforts to either attend roundtable or have some representatives from your unit to attend. When you miss roundtable you are missing out on a ton of information. Roundtable is different than what it use to be.
We have a new meeting location for the District Committee Meeting (6pm-7pm) and Roundtable (7pm-8pm).

The biggest things coming up is Scouting for food, Camp Cards and for Scouts BSA the winter camporee. Zaxbys in Tullahoma and Manchester have asked to partner with the District to be the collection sites for the can goods collected on The weeks leading up to Saturday February 8th. Anyone that comes to those locations that week can get the Zaxbys kids meal for $0.99. We are working to see if the Winchester location will partner with us as well more to come on that location in the next few days.

We are having our Winter camporee at Camp Arrowhead January 31-February 2. The theme is Pioneering. While the youth are working on the merit badge the adults will be helping to clean up and revitalize the camp in preparation for the Council 100th year spring Camporee April 3-5. If you haven't signed up yet please do so now.

If I haven't already set your Units Family Friends of Scouting presentation please contact me ASAP where we can get it set. The two benefits to holing a presentation is 1. your unit cant receive free rank advancements (qualifications are Hold a Unit FFOS presentation,100% YPT training, 80% leader specific training and sell camp cards/popcorn) and 2. Your unit is helping pave the way to other scouters in the district that can not afford scouting.
